Kathryn Newton, Counseling & College Student Personnel, developed curriculum for a 9-credit hour post-masters advanced clinical skills certificate in complex trauma which will address the impact of childhood trauma across the lifespan. The courses are suitable to masters-level professionals providing direct services in counseling, psychology, social work, education and corrections. The courses also serve as a cognate option for doctoral students in the helping professions. The individual courses and post-master program of study received institutional approval in Fall 2019. The first course in the series is scheduled to start May 2020 (enrollment info available through PCDE).
