Seth Edwards, of Bethlehem, was appointed to the Shippensburg University Council of Trustees by Governor Tom Wolf. Edwards will represent his peers as the student member of the council and serve a two-year term.

Edwards, a graduate of Liberty High School, is a junior political science and communication/journalism major with a minor in history. An active member of the campus community, he is the former vice president for external affairs for the Student Government Association and served as a Student Admissions Ambassador. Edwards worked to educate students in his role as a democracy fellow with Ship’s Campus Vote Project, part of Ship’s Voter Friendly Campus initiative. He is also published in Ship’s undergraduate academic journal, “Write the Ship.”

Edwards serves on the College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Advisory Board and the President’s Student Advisory Council.

“It is an honor to be appointed and I plan to serve the student body to the best of my ability, assuring they are genuinely represented. I’m excited to start working with the Council of Trustees and strive towards a greater and prosperous future for Shippensburg University,” said Edwards.
