Shippensburg University is inviting you to join the annual StewardSHIP Week celebration beginning April 17. The week, which educates and encourages the campus community to be good stewards of the environment, kicks off with a forest cleanup project at Michaux State Forest (sign up by April 15). The week-long celebration includes in-person and virtual options.

Monday, April 19 will feature an outdoor film screening of “Kiss the Ground” at Huber Art Center beginning at dusk (8:00 p.m.). On Wednesday April 21 at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Joseph Zume will share his groundwater quality research from Ghana Africa in Rowland Hall 200 and on Zoom.

On Thursday, April 22 the campus community will celebrate Earth Day in the Quad from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. During the Earth Day celebration the Environmental Steering Committee will host a panel discussion updating the community on the Campus Climate Commitment.

Members of the campus community are also encouraged to sign the campus sustainability pledge and commit to using resources wisely, protect and conserve nature and the physical, social and economic environments that sustain us.
